University Major Work 2021
A six-part documentary publication piece,
conducting a thorough study of the four main emotions, childhood
developments, daily activity and basic human needs, from the perspective
of young women. Allowing us to acknowledge that “Moody women” aren’t bound
to be stigmas, and our emotions are the universal language for our basic
human needs.
The main message I want you to take away from reading That’s What She Said! is that you’re not alone when it comes to handling emotions and it’s normal to be feeling “moody” whenever you are. I trust this book to initiate conversations and generate a sense of community, and I hope you find peace within yourself by gaining a deeper realisation of your own self-identity through that of others.

That’s What She Said! aims to give closure to
young women and their emotions. As mentioned
previously, “Moody women” aren’t bound to be stigmas, and our emotions are the
universal language for our basic human needs. It wasn’t until after my research
when I realised how many young women struggled mentally and physically, in
which I saw myself in similar situations, especially during a pandemic lockdown.
I believe it’s important to have a safe outlet for young women to feel
supported when expressing their emotions. That’s What She Said! is reflective,
honest and tender, allowing you to experience a newfound sense of connectivity
and identity.
That’s What She Said! takes pride in having an inclusive and supportive network, allowing young women a reliable space to freely express their emotions and experiences, privately or communally. I hope readers have an open mind and are free from judgment when reading That’s What She Said!, thereby normalises emotions to customary shapes, and removes pre-misconceptions of our feelings towards ourselves and others.
